The 5th Google campus officially opened in Praga, Warsaw on Thursday.

Located in a former vodka distillery, Campus Warsaw is the first of Google’s community for entrepreneurs and startups in Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.

Google executives are sure Poland is the best place to help the region develop and grow as they believe Poland is a magnet for the CEE region.

“If you’re an amazing technical person whether from the Czech Republic or Lithuania, Warsaw is a magnet for these particular people,” said Sarah Drinkwater, the head of the London campus.

“I think Warsaw is a convening city whether it’s the Polish founders or founders from the CEE region. We see it as being the best place for campus to be.”
