Polish take on the United States presidential race

If either are elected, republican candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz stance on immigration may further affect Poles ability to get visas.

“Certainly the most controversial would be Trump, as President, because of the controversial things he says,” said Roman Rewald, a Polish-American lawyer for the Weil, Gotshal & Manges law firm in Warsaw.

“And because of his stand on immigration which is going to affect Poland and Polish citizens ability to get visas.”

Meanwhile, both democratic candidates, Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, would most likely reform immigration law by giving amnesty for current illegal immigrants.

The positive Polish-American relations will continue under any candidate as long as it is in the best interest of the United States, Rewald told Radio Poland’s Kamila Kudelska.
