The New Yorker Magazine is known for its iconic cartoons. Yesterday, after 20 years as the magazine’s cartoon editor, Bob Mankoff announced his retirement. Editor-in-Chief David Remnick was on campus today for a panel about journalism in the age of Trump. He took some time to talk about Mankoff’s legacy, The New Yorker’s future, and about the role Mankoff played in starting the magazine’s famous cartoon caption contest.
