The first of three weekly LOT flights between Warsaw and Tokyo lifted off Wednesday. The acting President of the Polish air carrier and transport experts believe Poland should concentrate more on Asia as it will benefit the economy more than a connection to North America.

“Plans were announced with Miami but this is for sure not a destination spot, in which Poles will fly there to vacation but it is a good transfer point for North America,” said transport expert, Adrian Furgalski.

“Yet if we look at how the economy and flight traffic develops, in my opinion we should concentrate on Asia.”
