The 2015 gaming industry was dominated by two Polish produced video games: "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and "Dying Light" which sold millions of copies and won numerous industry awards.

Yet this success is not only seen in the country’s economic market but also may advance social innovations.

“Our sector has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of anymore, rather the opposite,” said Paweł Olzewski, the editor-in-chief of Polygamia, a Polish video game website. “Foreign competitors have something to be ashamed of because after the premiere of games such as Fall Out 4, it looks like Americans are not able to produce the same threshold as our video game producers have.”

Kamila Kudelska reports.
