Political and social instability and the unpredictability of economic policy in Poland are a cause for worry, says a report entitled “The Assessment of Foreign Investors in Poland” by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Some experts argue that this may be the result of the governing Law and Justice party’s policies. In January, ratings agency Standard & Poor’s downgraded Poland’s credit rating to BBB+ from A- with a negative outlook and warned that the rating could fall further within the next two years.
“What did change quite a lot from [recent] years are the prognosis estimations” for the years ahead, said Michael Kern, the director of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Poland.
